1. Exterior and Interior

The ’22 GMC Terrain is offered in SLT, Denali, SLE, and AT4 trim levels. Its length, height, and overall width without mirrors measure 182.3, 65.4, and 72.4 inches, respectively. Drivers have numerous exterior hues to choose from, including summit white, marine metallic, quicksilver metallic, white frost tri-coat, desert sand metallic, and more.

It has a seating capacity of five occupants. All variants come standard with cloth upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Both seating rows are spacious and can accommodate taller passengers. Available interior luxury features are perforated leather upholstery, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

2. Performance

The refreshed Terrain provides enough power for your everyday commutes. Under the hood, each variant features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder paired to a nine-speed to deliver 170 horsepower and 203 lb. feet of torque. Four-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain, while all-wheel drive is available on SLE and SLT trims.

In its standard configuration, the all-new Terrain has a fuel efficiency rate of 25 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway. AWD models get 25/28 mpg city/highway.

3. Infotainment and Connectivity

It is not a GMC if it lacks up-to-date infotainment and connectivity features. A user-friendly IntelliLink infotainment system comes standard. Most trims also get a 7-inch display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, and a WIFI hotspot.

Premium variants provide an 8-inch touchpad, a 7-speaker Bose system, wireless smartphone charging, navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

4. Safety Features

GMC has equipped the Terrain with loads of standard safety features to ensure you reach your destinations in one piece. They include an airbag system, hill descent control, forward collision warning, forward auto emergency brakes, pedestrian detection, and Teen Driver. The lane departure warning will alert you if you leave a marked lane without using the indicator or if the car is drifting from its lane.

The lane-keeping assist will make minor adjustments to the steering to help the car maintain its lane. Available safety features are rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, head-up display, blind spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert.
